We can't wait to celebrate together
Chapter 1: The Party
Our paths first crossed on New Year’s Eve 2019, at Aquil’s friend (Chris), birthday party. I hadn't planned on being there that night but I’m glad I went. Aquil approached me, and introduced himself. He claimed we were Facebook friends—even though I didn’t recall us following each other. He had a charming personality that made me laugh, he joked about how I looked exactly like my photos on Facebook (perhaps hinting at past catfish experiences lol).
Although we were both dating other people, there was something undeniable between us. Throughout the night, I kept catching glimpses of him dancing. At one point, Aquil came back over to me and told me that “we” like your boots. I thought it was odd that he shared that his date liked my boots too. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with that information, but I thanked him and he walked off again. As the party ended and I made my way out, I passed Aquil and his friends talking. I smiled to myself, wondering if our paths would ever cross again.
Chapter 2: The Lockdown
Months later, as the world shut down, Aquil messaged me on Facebook at 4 a.m asking why I wasn’t asleep? I shared with him my troubles sleeping and my fears about COVID. Aquil assured me that everything would be okay. His words brought me unexpected comfort—something I still feel to this day when he tells me that everything will be okay. Our conversations grew deeper. We FaceTimed for hours, connecting over topics like spirituality and metaphysics. I've never shared these things with anyone that I dated, they would have never understood me or my thought process. As time passed Aquil began to slowly make his presence known. He tuned into my live videos, “Backyard Shenanigans” engaging in discussions that made me feel seen and understood.
By June, we finally met again in person. We talked all evening, and when it was time to depart, he kissed me; it was the sweetest thing I’d ever known. That night marked the beginning of a soul tie we couldn’t ignore.
Chapter 3: Forever You
From that point on, we were inseparable. Though neither of us had clearly defined our roles in each other’s lives, it was felt deeply. Slowly, the truth unfolded, and we let go of our past relationships.
I knew Aquil was meant for me when he confessed he didn’t want to lose the chance to see where this could go. His honesty and vulnerability showed me that this wasn’t just a fling or attraction—it was the start of our forever. Now, five years later, we’re ready to write the next chapters of our story as husband and wife.
We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you.
Her Story

Chapter 1: Facebook
Scrolling through my facebook feed one day I came across a picture that Tameeka posted that caught my attention. I hit the like button and kept scrolling past her picture. After a few flicks of my thumb I scrolled back to her picture and landed myself on her page where I sat for about an hour going through her pictures like a “Facebook detective.” I thought it was innocent being that we were already Facebook friends. I hit the like button several times on her pictures and interesting posts on her page, but I didn’t try to engage in any thing being that I was seeing someone at the time.
Chapter 2: New Year Eve
On New Year’s Eve I attended a birthday party for CHRIS “Dog” (ONE OF MY CLOSEST childhood friend). This party was what we called a “situation!!” When I walked in I greeted the birthday boy and the fellas and noticed some familiar eyes watching me. Those eyes smiled at me when they came into contact with mine. After a quick spin around the room I realized those eyes belonged to the pretty lady on facebook whose page I was previously on a few days earlier. I approached her to formally introduce myself and tell her that we are friends on Facebook and she looks exactly like her photos. After a little small talk I parted ways with her and shortly after I found myself back in front of her telling her how “we” were admiring her boots. I guessed that “we” part was a bit much for her, so after the small conversation I blended back into the party. For the remainder of the party I watch the lady across the room, in the sexy red boots.
Chapter 3: Covid
Once Covid hit both of our previous relationships were coming to an end so we started periodically speaking through messenger. One day while scrolling on facebook, I see a post titled “Backyard Shenanigans” with Meeka and her friend Stephanie. They were asking people to chime in with their opinions on various topics. I joined the chat and from then it was on and popping.
Happily Ever After
Not long after we entered a natural flowing relationship that has flourished to the point of no return, in 2025, at my surprise birthday party I surprised everyone that day. I asked the love of my life to be my wife and spend the rest of her life with me- the rest is for the history books.
